‘Fame’ and ‘Flashdance’ singer Irene Cara dead at 63

On Saturday, Irene Cara's publicist, Judith Moose, posted on the late performer's website that she had passed away. She was 63.

The statement stated, "It is with great regret that I announce Irene Cara's passing on behalf of her family."

The Oscar-winning actress, singer, songwriter, and producer died at home in Florida. Her cause of death is currently unknown.

Irene's family has asked for privacy as they mourn their grief, the message stated.

"She was a stunningly talented person whose pictures and songs will live on forever.

Funeral arrangements are being made, and a memorial event for her supporters will be organised later.

Then, Moose tweeted that "the saddest part of being a publicist" is having to share the news about her client's passing.
