The Reaction Of Michigan Football Fans To Kirk Herbstreit: Even though the next Michigan-Ohio State game is two weeks away, the trash-talking has already begun.
Top Collage GameDay analyst and former OSU player Kirk Herbstreit claimed on Saturday’s episode of the program that his alma mater’s loss to Michigan the year prior was caused by poor conditions in Ann Arbor.
Since they believe their team beat OSU fairly and squarely, Michigan football fans had a lot to say about that. Even Braylon Edwards, a former Michigan player from 2001 to 2004, wasn’t having it.
“Lol, @KirkHerbstreit just blamed the weather for Ohio State’s loss to @UMichFootball last year. News flash it didn’t start snowing until the game was close to over, “Edwards tweeted.
“I’m so confused was Ohio State the only team that played in bad weather that game? Such a soft take. You play in the big Ten, and weather is never predictable in the winter,” one fan added.
The score in that contest was 43-27 in favor of Michigan, who went on to win and earn a spot in the big Ten Championship Game and College Football Playoff. The Game, which is scheduled for November 26 this year, wil feature the Buckeyes seeking retribution.
