Jodie Whittaker’s regeneration introduces a new Doctor in Doctor Who. At the conclusion of the 90-minute programme The Power of the Doctor, Whittaker unpredictably transformed into Tennant.
The well-known actor, who previously portrayed the part from 2005 and 2010, has officially returned as the 14th Doctor, according to the BBC.
What a fantastic, lovely thing to get to revisit something that was such a wonderful, happy, and crucial time in my life, Tennant said to BBC News. The actor had been recording scenes for the sci-fi drama’s 60th anniversary, it was revealed earlier this year.
Now that it has been confirmed, he will be appearing in three episodes of the show instead of just a quick cameo as Whittaker’s replacement.
