Beginning on Halloween, the McDonald’s McRib Returns for a “Farewell Tour.” The restaurant chain announced that the popular menu item would return on October 31 for a short time only. After this campaign, it won’t be distributed nationally for a long, so McDonald’s hinted in a statement that “this might be your only chance to experience it.”

“Like any genuine farewell tour, we’re hope that this is a “see you later” rather than a “goodbye.” You never know when—or if—the McRib is coming back, as our McRib fans have discovered time and time again, stated McDonald’s.

A boneless pork patty shaped like a rack of ribs, covered in barbecue sauce, and served on a bread makes up the sandwich. Price is location-dependent.

In 1981, McDonald’s introduced the McRib on its menus in and around Kansas City. Four years later, the chain removed it from its offerings. But in recent years, it has developed a cult following among McDonald’s devotees. Prior to 2020, it was only distributed regionally to all of its US establishments.

Beginning on November 4th, McDonald’s will start selling a “nostalgic McRib merchandise line” as a part of this alleged “farewell tour.”

According to Alexander Chernev, a professor of marketing at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, seasonal commodities are a crucial marketing tool for the food sector.
